لطالما تميّزت سلسلة هواتف P Series من هواوي بتجربة التصوير الفوتوغرافي الاستثنائية. ولم تستثن الشركة سلسلة هواتف HUAWEI P20 Series من هذه الامتيازات. وصنّف هاتف HUAWEI P20 Pro في المرتبة 109 حسب موقع DxOMark، ليكون أعلى تصنيف يصل إليه هاتف ذكي حتى الآن. وتم تزويد الهاتف بأول كاميرا ’لايكا‘ ثلاثية في العالم، ويمزج الأجهزة المتميزة مع نظام ’ماستر‘ من هواوي المعزز بإمكانات الذكاء الاصطناعي للاستمتاع بالأداء رفيع المستوى للكاميرا في أي سيناريو. ويتألق HUAWEI P20 Pro بخاصيّة إضافية تثير اهتمام الصحفيين، وتستحوذ على قلوب المستهلكين على نطاق واسع.
نحن نتكلم بالطبع عن توليفة ألوان ’توايلايت‘ المتدرجة! وفيما تتوفر حصرياً على هواتف HUAWEI P20 Pro، تحوّلت هذه اللمسات اللونية الساحرة إلى حديث جميع عشاق الهواتف الذكية منذ الإعلان عنه للمرة الأولى.
وتنسحب التوليفة اللونية بسلاسة بين اللون الأرجواني إلى الأزرق ومن ثم إلى الأزرق الضارب إلى الخضرة - متبعةً ذات التدرج الفيزيائي لألوان الطيف - أسفل خلفية من الزجاج الممتاز؛ وسرعان ما تم بيع نماذج الهاتف بلون ’توايلايت‘ في بلد المنشأ بالصين، مما يعتبر مؤشراً جيداً للشعبية التي حظي بها بين المستهلكين.
فما الذي ألهم هواوي لابتكار هذه التوليفة اللونية غير المسبوقة؟ يكفي النظر خارج النافذة للحصول على الإجابة. هذا صحيح! إنها الطبيعة، أعظم فنان عالمي في كل العصور! منذ بداية عملية التصميم، عكف فريق التصميم في هواوي على تدوين الملاحظات من أفضل الجهات. وبالنسبة للون الشفق على وجه الخصوص، استمدت هواوي إلهامها من الشفق القطبي المعروف باسم شفق القطب الشمالي.
ولا يتطلب تقدير الطبيعة خوض تدريبات رسمية، لأن قدرتنا على إدراك ملامح الجمال في الطبيعة أمر فطري داخل كل إنسان. وعلى مرّ التاريخ، ألهمت الطبيعة العديد من الرسامين العظماء لابتكار روائع فنيّة خالدة. ففي الصين، نقل رسّامو البَلاط الإمبراطوري انطباعاتهم عن المشاهد الطبيعية على الورق مستعينين بالحبر والماء والفرشاة. وقاموا برسم الجبال الشاهقة، والتلال المتدرجة والأنهار الضيقة على لفافات من الورق مع ضربات فرشاة ونقاط ولمسات من الحبر. ويعتبر هذا الفن القديم، المعروف اليوم باسم ’جو هوا‘ (guohua)، من أكثر الفنون الصينية الكلاسيكية تقديراً في أيامنا هذه.
ولم يكن عمالقة الفنون في الغرب، مثل كلود مونيه وفنسنت فان غوخ، بعيدين عن الطبيعة. ورفض مونيه المعايير الأسلوبية في وقته وطور أسلوبه الخاص لنقل جمال الطبيعة مستخدماً ملاحظاته عن تغيير الأضواء للتعبير عن الجمال الذي رآه. وكتب فان غوخ، العبقرية الفنية التي لا تحتاج لتعريف، إلى شقيقه في أحد الأيام "... إذا ما فقدت عشقي للطبيعة ولعملي، اعلم حينها بأنني سأكون في غاية الحزن". وظهرت الانطباعات الطبيعية واضحة في العديد من أعماله مثل ’دوّار الشمس‘، ’حقل قمح مع الغربان‘، و لوحة ’زهور السوسن‘، على سبيل المثال لا الحصر.
وكما هي الحال مع بعض أبرز الفنانين على مرّ التاريخ، استمد جون سوه كيم، مدير قسم التصميم لدى هواوي، وفريقه إلهامهم من الطبيعة، لتثمر جهودهم عن التوليفة اللونية المتدرجة وغير المسبوقة. ووفقاً لجون: "مصممو هواوي ليسوا مجرّد مصممين متميزين، بل هم حالمون استثنائيون أيضاً. وكمصممين، نستمد إلهامنا من أي مكان؛ وكحالمين، نحن مضطرون للتوصل إلى أفكار لم تخطر بعد في بال المستهلكين؛ ويعتبر ’توايلايت‘ التجسيد الأمثل عن ذلك".
وتم تطوير التوليفة اللونية الحالمة بشكل خاص لتجسيد روعة الشفق والغموض الكامن في سحره. وتم اتخاذ جميع الاحترازات لضمان ألق هذه الظاهرة الطبيعية حتى عند تقليص مساحة التدرج اللوني لتلائم حجم الهاتف في اليد.
وصممت هواوي عدداً كبيراً من النماذج الأولية قبل النجاح في تحقيق هذه التأثيرات الفريدة من نوعها. وفي النهاية، استقرت هواوي على استخدام طلاء بتقنية التفليز التفريغي غير الموصل (NCVM) للحصول على التأثير الذي يعد من أكثر التعبيرات الطبيعية للشفق الظاهر على الجهة الخلفية من الهاتف الذكي.

For the longest time, HUAWEI’s P Series has been known for its outstanding photography experience. That hasn’t changed with the HUAWEI P20 Series. The HUAWEI P20 Pro scored 109 on DxOMark, the highest ever achieved by a smartphone. It’s equipped with the world’s first triple Leica cameras, and combines the excellent hardware with HUAWEI Master AI to deliver its signature high camera performance in any scenario.
But there’s something more to the HUAWEI P20 Pro—something that’s understandably piqued the interest of journalists, and seized the attention of consumers far and wide.
Of course, we’re talking about the “Twilight” gradient color scheme. Available exclusively to the HUAWEI P20 Pro, the shimmering finish has been the talk of the town ever since the color was first announced.
Featuring a gradient that smoothly transitions from purple to blue then to teal—in the same order laws of physics sort colors on the visible light spectrum—underneath a premium glass back, the Twilight variant of P20 Pro was sold out in its home court, China, almost immediately once it was made available, which is a good indication of its popularity among consumers.
So what inspired HUAWEI to create the popular color scheme? One needs only look out of the window for the answer. That’s right; it was nature, the world’s greatest artist of all time. From the very beginning of the design process, HUAWEI’s design team has been taking notes from the best of the best. For the Twilight color in particular, HUAWEI was inspired by the aurora borealis, or better known as the Northern Lights.
It does not take formal training for one to appreciate nature, for our ability to perceive nature as a thing of beauty is innate to all of us. Throughout history, nature has inspired countless great painters to create great masterpieces. In China, court painters through dynasties transposed their impressions of the natural landscape onto paper using ink, water and a brush. Towering mountains, rolling hills and narrow rivers were painted onto scrolls of paper with lively brushstrokes, dots and ink wash. This ancient art form, known today as guohua, is considered one of the most respected of all in classical Chinese art.
In the West, greats such as Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh were also no stranger to nature. Monet rejected the stylistic norms of his time and developed his own way to capture the beauty of nature, using his observations of changing lights to encapsulate the beauty he beheld. Van Gogh, the tragic genius that needs no introduction, once wrote to his brother “…if I felt no love for nature and my work, then I would be unhappy.” He featured objects of nature prominently in many of his works, and Sunflowers, Wheatfield with Crows, and Irises, were but a few from the prolific artist.
Just like some of the greatest artists throughout history, Joon Suh Kim, Chief Design Officer at Huawei, and his team were inspired by nature, and the gorgeous gradient color is their brain-
child. According to Joon, “HUAWEI’s designers are not just designers, but dreamers as well. As designers, we get inspirations everywhere; as dreamers, we’re obliged to come up with ideas that the consumers themselves don’t yet know they love, such as the Twilight color.”
The dreamy color scheme was specifically developed to capture the magnificence and mysteriousness of the aurora. Careful decisions were made to ensure that when the gradient effect is shrunk to the size of a handheld device, the intensity of the natural phenomenal would retain its full glory.
To execute this unique effect, HUAWEI had gone through countless prototypes in order to get it just right. In the end, HUAWEI settled on using an optical non-conductive vacuum metalizing (NCVM) coating for the effect—and the results are some of the most natural expressions of the aurora seen on a smartphone back.
Recently, the HUAWEI P20 Pro was named “Best Smartphone of 2018” at European Hardware Awards 2018, an annual award organised by the European Hardware Association. The European Hardware Awards recognise and celebrate the best electronic products in the European market, as selected by experienced editors from around the world. This award further strengthens HUAWEI P20 Pro’s position as a market leader.
